Wednesday, May 19, 2010–Reverend Al Sharpton, one of the country’s foremost leaders for civil rights, and president and founder of National Action Network, has been asked by the family of Aiyana Jones and her attorney, to deliver her eulogy this Saturday, May 22, 2010 in Detroit, Michigan. Aiyana Jones was tragically shot dead by police this week while asleep in her home and Rev. Sharpton and National Action Network immediately decried the loss of an innocent life and called for a cease to police misconduct and black-on-black violence which Sharpton says in this case must both be examined.
