DISCUSSION WILL ADDRESS THE CULTURE AT CITADEL AS NAN SEEKS TO PREVENT FUTURE RACIAL INCIDENTS WITH CADETS; REV. SHARPTON WILL ALSO IMPLORE ROSA TO REMOVE THE CONFEDERATE FLAG HANGING IN CITADEL’S CHAPEL
Also while in Charleston Rev. Sharpton will keynote the Leadership Recognition Dinner at the Conference of National Black Churches (CNBC) entitled the “Healing of Our Nation: Race & Reconciliation”

Meeting with The Citadel President John Rosa to discuss the culture at Citadel and how to prevent future incidents like the recent one where cadets appeared in photos with pillowcases over their heads like Ku Klux Klan hoods. Rev. Sharpton will also discuss the Confederate Flag that is hanging in the chapel at the military college.
