National Action Network Executive Director Applauds Federal Government’s Issuance of Bullying Guidelines

National Action Network (NAN) supports The Obama Administration and the Department of Education on the Federal Government’s action to take steps to reduce bullying in schools.  Like gang violence and other senseless crimes, bullying continues to shorten the lives of so many promising young people.  NAN has worked to protect the civil rights of Americans for almost twenty years, making it one of the nation’s leading civil rights organizations.  Today, our Federal Government has publicly recognized that bullying is a violation of civil rights. This action to protect students and to remind schools that they are accountable should be applauded.
