NAN Atlanta Chapter to Hold Protest re Former US District Judge Jack Camp
—Atlanta, Ga, December 3, 2010: Reverend Al Sharpton’s Atlanta Chapter of the National Action Network will hold a protest on the steps of the Richard B. Russell Federal Building on Monday, December 6, 2010 from 5 until 7 pm.,75 Spring St SW, Atlanta, GA 30303.
The Atlanta Chapter is outraged that Senior U.S. District Judge Jack Camp, Jr., is allowed to resign prior to pleading guilty to Federal charges allowing him to retain his pension. They are further outraged upon knowledge of the allegations of unfair sentencing of African-Americans and are in full support of a full investigation into all cases presided over by Judge Jack Camp, Jr.
The Atlanta Chapter of the National Action Network provides assistance, information and support to individuals dealing with crises and criminal injustices in the Greater Atlanta Metropolitan Area and around the nation. The Chapter also provides support to area communities, striving to empower them socially and economically and holds programs to promote juvenile reform.
