AT NAN’S SATURDAY ACTION RALLY, REV. AL SHARPTON TO ANNOUNCE THAT NAN IS CONVENING A NATIONAL SUMMIT OF BLACK MINISTERS TO DISCUSS THE RECRUITMENT OF BLACK CHURCHES AS SANCTUARIES FOR SYRIAN REFUGEES & TO RECRUIT CONGREGATION MEMBERS TO PROVIDE HOMES TO THOSE SEEKING ASYLUM
NAN will convene a national summit of Black ministers to discuss recruitment of Black churches and congregation members willing to provide their houses of worships and homes as sanctuaries for Syrian refugees fleeing violence in their homeland
Rev. Sharpton will also condemn a lack of mercy, compassion and the perpetuation of Islamophobia by certain leaders
