TOMORROW: REV. SHARPTON, NAN TO WELCOME GOV. KATHY HOCUL TO NAN HOUSE OF JUSTICE TO KICK OFF BLACK HISTORY MONTH
—Gov. Hochul to highlight policy agenda aimed at uplifting Black communities
New York, NY (Friday, February 2, 2024) – Rev. Al Sharpton, President and Founder of the National Action Network (NAN), will welcome Governor Kathy Hochul to the House of Justice in Harlem for the first Saturday rally of Black History Month. Governor Hochul will speak on her administration’s policy agenda for Black communities throughout the state.
The Governor’s appearance follows her historic enactment of racial justice legislation paving the way for the establishment of a committee tasked with considering reparations for slavery. In December, Rev. Sharpton stood alongside the Governor and lawmakers during the bill signing.
