REV. SHARPTON WILL BE JOINED BY FEARLESS FUND CEO ARIAN SIMONE FOR WEEKLY PICKET OUTSIDE BILL ACKMAN’S OFFICE
—Right-wing legal activist’ lawsuit against Fearless Fund and Fearless Foundation could result in landmark corporate diversity legal decision
NEW YORK, NY (January 24, 2024) – Rev. Al Sharpton, President and Founder of the National Action Network (NAN), will be joined by Arian Simone, CEO of the Fearless Fund and Founder of the Fearless Foundation, for the fourth weekly picket outside of Bill Ackman’s office in New York City. NAN has protested the hedge fund billionaire’s office every Thursday over his deceitful pressure campaign against former Harvard President Claudine Gay and his fight against DEI.
Rev. Sharpton has stood by the Fearless Fund and Fearless Foundation since they were sued last summer by the American Alliance for Equal Rights. The right-wing legal advocacy group has accused the entities of discrimination because they invest in women of color. Rev. Sharpton has condemned these attacks on Simone, the Fearless Fund, and the Fearless Foundation, and has warned about the greater impact the case will have on the future of DEI.
