Oscar-winning filmmaker Spike Lee, noted clergy, and elected officials to be present
New York, NY (June 27, 2025) – Rev. Al Sharpton, Founder and President of the National Action Network (NAN), will welcome Assembly Member Zohran Mamdani, the presumptive Democratic nominee for New York City Mayor, to the House of Justice in Harlem during this week’s Saturday Action Rally. The rally — which will also be attended by acclaimed filmmaker Spike Lee, noted clergy, and elected officials — will mark Assembly Member Mamdani’s first appearance in Harlem since securing the nomination. It follows his most recent appearance just last Saturday, three days before Primary Day.
Throughout the primary, Rev. Al Sharpton provided a platform at the House of Justice for primary contenders to share their vision for Black and Brown New Yorkers. At the National Action Network’s Annual Convention in April, Rev. Sharpton convened a standing-room-only mayoral forum with eight candidates, including Assemblymember Mamdani.
