“This year’s NAN Policy Forum will be a key moment in next week’s activities to remind the nation that Dr. King’s dream is not gone but it is far from realized,” said Rev. Al Sharpton, Founder and President of National Action Network (NAN). “NAN will bring some of the most influential leaders at all levels of government from New York and New Jersey to testify on how they will use their post to advance that dream. As we prepare to announce how the civil rights community will protect DEI against a new administration, it will be essential for the public to hear what our allies in government will do to support us.”
Saturday’s policy forum will follow NAN’s MLK Day Birthday Breakfast in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, January 15th. The event brings together national civil rights, legislative, labor, and business leaders to bridge decision makers with key issues facing Black and Brown Americans.
