NATIONAL ACTION NETWORK (NAN) TO HOST “LOVE DELIVERED: A CONVERSATION ON BLACK MATERNAL HEALTH” AT 2026 ANNUAL CONVENTION

Apr 06, 2026

Powerful Panel on Black Maternal Health Crisis to Take Center Stage at NAN’s Historic 35th Annual Convention, Powered by Premier Sponsor CVS Health

New York, NY (March 31, 2026) – The National Action Network (NAN) will host “Love Delivered: A Conversation on Black Maternal Health,” a landmark panel discussion on Thursday, April 9th, as part of its 2026 Annual Convention powered by CVS Health, a premier sponsor of the NAN Annual Convention.

Black women in the United States face a maternal mortality crisis that demands urgent national attention. Black mothers are significantly more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than their white counterparts, a disparity rooted in systemic inequities in access to care, implicit bias in medical treatment, and decades of neglect. NAN’s convention platform provides a critical national stage to confront this crisis directly, elevate the voices of those most impacted, and discuss programs and approaches being taken in the community.

Moderated by Erneshia Pinder, Vice President at CVS Health, the “Love Delivered: A Conversation on Black Maternal Health” panel will feature both lived experience and clinical expertise, highlighting community-driven solutions, culturally competent care models, and the urgent need to improve maternal health outcomes for Black women and families nationwide.

The session is part of a powerful afternoon of programming at NAN’s 35th Annual Convention, which has drawn governors, former cabinet members, members of Congress, and the nation’s most influential civil rights voices to New York City for four days of action, organizing, and accountability.
