Reverend Al Sharpton and Michael Steele are participating in a breakfast that will bring together 30 strategic voices for a meaningful discussion on “Reversing the Economic Erosion of Home Ownership in Black Communities.”
Joining them will be former State Senator and Radio Host Larry Young, and Joe Kennedy, Founder of Kennedy Research will provide insights on advancing the housing agenda in communities of color. Invited participants include: The leadership of National Action Network, Baltimore NAACP, Kemp Foundation, Fredrick Douglas Group, Business leaders, Baltimore Black-owned Brokers, Baltimore Association of Realtors, Greater Baltimore Urban League, HUD, State and Local legislators, and other key stakeholders.
Coming out of its largest and most successful National Action Network Convention in the history of the organization founded in 1991, Reverend Sharpton’s inclusion of economic rights to its longstanding impactful civil rights mission will lead us into the next era of generational wealth in communities of color.
