BARBARA LEE THIS THURSDAY @ 6 PM (PST) As outside influencers and agitators continue to use the U.S. government and court systems as pawns to systematically roll back our rights and services, it is clear that we need to prepare a strategy to defend the future of our democracy. On Thursday, November 9th, 2023, at 6 p.m. PST please join our Founder and President Rev. Al Sharpton, our fellow NAN Western Region Chapter Presidents’ colleagues, and a few elected officials from our regional states, for “HOW THE WEST WAS WON: A Virtual Rally and Listening Session with Rev Al Sharpton.” Rev Sharpton will speak directly to us and hold a virtual conversation designed to unpack how the Western Region of the United States will impact the 2024 Election and how our members, partners, and friends can educate, engage, and activate voters to use their voice at the ballot box. We are very grateful for your leadership in our diverse communities, and your unwavering and steadfast friendship and partnership. This year, we are also excited to celebrate the 30th Year Anniversary of the Yin Ranch and the new Asian Heritage Center Pavilion. SEIU 2015 LOCAL RALLY AT SACRAMENTO COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS NAN Sacramento had the privilege to take part in the rally organized by SEIU Local 2015 caregivers at the Sacramento County Supervisors Board. These hardworking and dedicated individuals are fighting for fair compensation and necessary health benefits. It’s time to unite and support their cause in the critical battle for workers’ rights and justice.  THE 52ND CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE Dr. Tecoy Porter and Lady Karlette Porter represented NAN Sacramento at the 52nd Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, DC. They were delighted to see other exceptional leaders of NAN, Sacramento, and the Congressional Black Caucus who hosted the event.
