ON POLITICS NATION ON MSNBC, THE PARENTS OF AMIR LOCKE ASK CIVIL RIGHTS LEADER REV. AL SHARPTON TO DELIVER THE EULOGY FOR THEIR SON WHO WAS EXECUTED BY MINNEAPOLIS POLICE DURING A NO KNOCK WARRANT LAST WEDNESDAY
Parents appeal for justice and accountability in the wake of Amir’s death at the hands of police
New York, New York (February 6, 2022) – The parents of Amir Locke, Karen Wells and Andre Locke, joined civil rights Rev. Al Sharpton on his MSNBC show “Politics Nation” along with their attorney Ben Crump, and they formally requested that he deliver the eulogy for their son who was killed by Minneapolis police on Wednesday. Details regarding the service and Rev.’s Sharpton’s eulogy will be released in the near future.
According to the family, Amir Locke had no criminal record and a legal permit to carry a gun. He had obtained a license to carry because he was a Doordash driver and had gotten a gun to protect himself. One of his biggest mentors was his cousin, a law enforcement agent. The parents are seeking justice and accountability and will appeal for justice in Amir’s name.
