Statement by NAN Charlotte Chapter on Mistrial of Officer Randall Kerrick

On behalf of National Action Network Charlotte Chapter we are truly outraged by the recent events that led up to the mistrial It is a sad day in North Carolina, the fact that Officer Randall Kerrick will not be retried for the killing of Jonathan Ferrell, our hearts go out to the Ferrell family and the community this type of injustice must stop.

It is a travesty in North Carolina when we cannot get an opportunity for a retrial in the Randall Kerrick case are we setting a standard in our great country for this type of behavior.
