REV. SHARPTON TO HOST COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER AT NAN HOUSE OF JUSTICE THIS THURSDAY

Nov 23, 2023

Mayor Adams, New York City and State Elected Officials Set to Assist with Meal Distribution

NEW YORK, NY (Monday, November 22) – Rev. Al Sharpton, President and Founder of the National Action Network (NAN), will host a community Thanksgiving Dinner at the House of Justice in Harlem this Thursday, November 23rd.

On Thanksgiving Day, Rev. Sharpton and NAN will celebrate the holiday by hosting a meal distribution at the House of Justice, a yearly tradition benefiting hundreds of underserved New Yorkers, which is open to all people. Last year’s event marked the first time since the start of the pandemic in which NAN welcomed sit-down dinner to the House of Justice. The event will welcome Mayor Eric Adams and other New York City and State elected officials, community advocates, and civil rights leaders to help distribute meals.

The community dinner follows a turkey distribution at the House of Justice last Thursday. Rev. Sharpton, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and NAN staff helped distribute more than 300 turkeys to members of the local community.
