Harlem – On Friday, October 22nd, civil rights leader Rev. Al Sharpton and National Action Network (NAN) will host a celebration in honor of civil rights leader and social justice icon, Rev. Jesse Jackson, at the NAN headquarters in Harlem. A mentor to Rev. Sharpton, Rev. Jackson named the National Action Harlem headquarters “The House of Justice” in 1991. Rev. Jesse Jackson has dedicated his life and career to activism, paving the way for many Black elected officials when he mounted a nationwide campaign for President in 1984, and again in 1988. Prominent elected officials will stand with Rev. Sharpton and NAN as they salute the historic work that Rev. Jackson has done to advance civil rights.
