NYC’s First Lady Chirlane Mccray to Speak at NAN for Women’s History Month
—(New York, NY) — First Lady Chirlane McCray will address the significance of celebrating and honoring Women’s History Month at NAN’s Saturday Action Rally. As a leading woman of color in New York City, the First Lady will discuss a myriad of women’s issues and her work to address them including, mental health, access to broadband, and small business support in the wake of Covid-19; her work as the Co-Chair of the Commission on Gender Equity; and supporting domestic violence victims in NYC.
We will also bear witness to the 1-Year Anniversary of the Police Killing of Breonna Taylor. Rev. Al Sharpton will discuss the continued fight for justice while also discussing the jury selection for the officer that killed George Floyd in Minneapolis
