BACKGROUND:
NAN will host the annual Martin Luther King Day Breakfast at 8 am at the Grand Hyatt. The breakfast will honor those that have helped continue the legacy of Dr. King in their respective fields. Recipients include legendary music impresario Berry Gordy, who will receive the “King Lifetime Service Award,” and Alexis Herman, who will receive the “NAN Breaking Barriers Award.” Other honorees include Maurice Cox, recipient of the “Corporate Achievement Award,” and James Mitchell, who will receive the “NAN Economic Justice Award.”
