At press conference, Garner family and Rev. Sharpton will call on New Yorkers to Attend Saturday Rally in Eric Garner’s Memory Claiming ‘Money Does Not Establish Justice’

NEW YORK – The Garner family and president and founder of the National Action Network (NAN), Reverend Al Sharpton, will hold a press conference tomorrow, July 14 at NAN House of Justice at 11:30 a.m. One year since the police chokehold death of Eric Garner, no federal charges have been filed against the officer who killed Mr. Garner in Staten Island and the settlement with the city does not establish justice, family and activists will announce.

This Saturday, the family will hold a rally with partners in justice and other victims of police misconduct at the U.S. Federal Courthouse Eastern District Cadman Plaza at 12:30 p.m. to continue the call for justice in the name of Eric Garner.
