REV. AL SHARPTON: “NO LOGIC IN LAW OR REASON WHY THE US ATTORNEY’S OFFICE WOULD NOT PROCEED WITH A GRAND JURY” IN RAMARLEY GRAHAM CASE

Rev. Sharpton echoes Graham family’s call for the immediate termination of NYPD officers involved

(NEW YORK, NY) – The following is a statement from Rev. Al Sharpton, President and Founder of the National Action Network, following the U.S. Attorney’s decision in the death of Ramarley Graham:

“I am extremely disappointed and can see no logic in law or reason why the U.S. Attorney’s office would not proceed with a grand jury in the case of an unarmed young man killed in the bathroom of his own house when there was absolutely no threat to officers. This is a very painful decision to the family and the public at-large. I gave the eulogy at Ramarley Graham’s funeral and pledged to stand with the family then, and National Action Network will continue to stand with them now as they pursue justice. I join the family in calling for the immediate termination of these officers from the force; they are a clear and present danger to all citizens.”
