WE STAND WITH TYRE NICHOLS FAMILY!

Share Tweet Forward NAN SACRAMENTO STANDS WITH THE FAMILY OF TYRE NICHOLS! Dr. Tecoy Porter, the Senior Pastor of Genesis Church Sacramento and President of the National Action Network Sacramento Chapter, is in the community calling for change! Before the video release of Tyre Nichols, the unarmed young black man brutally murdered by Memphis police officers, Porter joined with the Greater Sacramento NAACP, local elected officials, and community leaders in a press conference calling for peaceful demonstration and justice in support of Nichol’s Sacramento family. Tyre grew up in Sacramento before moving to Memphis for a job opportunity. Monday evening, at the request of his family, Dr. Porter provided words of comfort and prayed over those in attendance at the candlelight vigil. “Tyre’s mother said he was a beam of light, sent here on an assignment for a greater good. Last night we remembered and honored his light with his family and friends as we prayed for justice,” said Porter. NAN Sacramento is committed to supporting the family of Tyre Nichols in his hometown of Sacramento, CA, and walking them through this journey. Porter continues, “We will stand with the family of Tyre Nichols, as we’ve stood with Stephon Clark’s family and other’s suffering from senseless tragedies. As our Founder, Rev.
