We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of a true champion of justice and equality, the indomitable Reverend #MagoraKennedy bka Rev. Crone Goddess. A fearless warrior in the fight for civil rights, Reverend Kennedy was not just an early member of the National Action Network (NAN) since our founding year in 1991; she was the heartbeat of our collective struggle for a fair and just world.
Rev. Kennedy was a titan in the realms of activism, standing at the forefront of the Stonewall uprising, and steadfastly championing the rights of the LGBTQIA community alongside her unyielding advocacy for Black rights. For over half a century, her unrelenting spirit and unwavering commitment to the movement carved out paths for progress and inspired countless souls to stand up for what is right.
As a lifetime member of NAN, she embodied the true spirit of activism, not only in word but in consistent action. Rev. Kennedy dedicated her life to lifting the voices of the marginalized and the downtrodden, her legacy of empowerment and advocacy echoes through the lives she has touched.
Her passing leaves a void in the fabric of our network and the heart of our community. However, we are comforted by the knowledge that her legacy will endure in the continued fight for equality and justice. Rev. Kennedy’s life was a testament to the power of unwavering courage and the relentless pursuit of social justice.
We will miss her deeply at NAN. Yet, we will forever honor her memory by continuing the work she loved so much, pushing forward in the struggle for the rights of all people. Rev. Kennedy will always be loved, remembered, and profoundly missed. Her light will continue to guide us as we carry the torch she has passed on to us.
Rest in peace, love, and power Queen Mother. Thank you. Your lessons live on, your spirit remains with us, and your fight continues through our hands. Love and strength to the family.
