Assembly Bill 2774 (Weber) AB 2774 (Weber) had been introduced to add Black students to the K-12 Local Control Funding Formula which could lead to an estimated $400 million in new resources for all public schools serving Black students along with additional accountability for the education of Black children through Local Control Accountability Plans. AB 2774 is authored by Assemblymember Dr. Akilah Weber and sponsored by Rex and Margaret Fortune School of Education. The NAN Sacramento Board voted to be added as a co-sponsor to the bill at its Mach 8, 2022 board meeting.
