WHAT:
Rev. Al Sharpton will hold a media availability following his meeting with CLBC members where several items will be discussed including turnout from Tuesday’s Primary election and how he can help get out and protect the vote in November’s General election. Rev. Sharpton will also get an update on criminal justice issues including the Stephon Clark case and lastly, he will discuss National Action Network’s concern about diversity in asset and investment fund management including State pension funds. Rev. Sharpton will brief CLBC members on his earlier meetings with The California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS).
