One year to the day of the tragic slaying of Stephon Clark, the Rev. Al Sharpton, National Action Network Founder and President, along with NAN Sacramento Chapter President, Rev. Dr. Tecoy Porter Sr. will join the Clark Family in a Remembrance Commemoration Rally, Monday, March 18th at the Genesis Church.
The rally, led by the Clark Family, will run from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and will include guest speakers: Rev. Al Sharpton, Benjamin Crump, Esq., Rev. Dr. Porter, and other community and faith leaders. There will also be performances from local groups from the Clark Family. Monday’s event is the culmination of a 4-day Legacy Weekend presented by the Clark Family featuring a Teen Summit, a Mother’s Brunch, and A Day of Peace & Love Pop Up at various venues in Meadowview. All events are free and open to the public.
The National Action Network is a sponsor for Monday’s event. We are requesting that NAN members who plan on attending to RSVP.
