NYC NAN Leaders Protest K2, Lead Civil Disobedience

Jun 06, 2018

NAN leaders were arrested in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn and Harlem, two of K2’s epicenters, to raise awareness of the increasing problem of illegal K2 sale in bodegas across the city, primarily in low-income communities and communities of color. There have been 240 deaths resulting from K2 overdoses this year in NYC. In true Sharpton fashion, NAN leaders are calling out the stores illegally selling the drug with red X stickers–reminiscent of the days Rev. Sharpton painted red X’s on crack houses in the 1980s. We refuse to let drugs rampage our communities.
