NAN watches as New York Governor signs into law new progressive voting provisions

Representing NAN, VP and General Counsel Michael Hardy and stood behind the Governor as he signed into law three major voting reforms that will substantially improve our elections in New York. New Yorkers can now vote early, starting 10 days before Election Day; for our 16- and 17-year olds to pre-register to vote, for consolidating our federal and state primaries to one day, and for making sure that when you move your registration moves with you. Now it’s time to take advantage of these reforms and get out to vote!

This is not the end of our advocacy for voting reforms but we are hopeful for the rest of this legislative session with such a strong start.
