NAN SACRAMENTO STANDS ON THE FRONT LINES OF JUSTICE!
This week Dr. Tecoy Porter, NAN Sacramento Chapter President led the troops and NAN Sacramento stood alongside Gabby Trejo of Sacramento Act, Mayor Steinberg, city council leaders, and fellow faith leaders to address the recent migrant arrivals in Sacramento. As well as joined the thousands of members of SEIU Local 1000 from across CA in their march & rally for essential state workers to receive a living wage. This week Dr. Tecoy Porter, President of the NAN Sacramento Chapter stood with Gabby Trejo of Sacramento Act, Mayor Steinberg, city council leaders, and fellow faith leaders to address the recent migrant arrivals in Sacramento. The response from the community has been commendable with an outpouring of compassion, but so much more work needs to be done. NAN SACRAMENTO STANDS WITH SEIU LOCAL 1000!
NAN Sacramento was happy to join the thousands of members of SEIU Local 1000 from across CA in their march & rally for essential state workers to receive a living wage. Currently, more than 68,000 workers are barely living above the poverty level due to low pay wages. We talk about the CA dream, but unfortunately, too many of us are NOT living it. Dr. Tecoy Porter, President of the NAN Sacramento Chapter encouraged the SEIU Local 1000 to keep on pressing for justice and that their due season will come if they faint not! #nansacramento #SEIU1000 #nojusticenopeace #nationalactionnetwork
