NAN Observes Memorial Day 2020

“Freedom is not free, today we honor those who fought for our freedom. Robert Smalls sailed towards freedom, the 4th Regiment bravely fought for freedom, and Harriet Tubman recruited freedom fighters. Because of them, we continue the fight.”

This Memorial Day, we at the National Action Network are taking the opportunity to stop and honor the men and women who risked their lives in service to the ideals of American democracy. People like Robert Smalls, Harriet Tubman and the men and women of the 4th Regiment inspire us to continue to fight to provide this nation’s promises of inclusion, liberty, prosperity and dignity to every person.
