—May 18, 2020
(New York, NY) — Rev. Sharpton and NAN Staff are continuing their efforts to distribute meals and food to frontline health workers and vulnerable people affected by COVID-19 in the Bronx and Harlem.
On Sundays, NAN is starting to distribute CARE Packages from a second location in Harlem, outside of Sylvia’s on 318 Malcolm X Blvd. The bags will include meals and pantry items from the Sylvia’s nationally distributed food product line.
The National Action Network has been giving out food six days a week since the middle of March. Rev. Al Sharpton was on hand for the meal distribution.
