Ebonie Riley, Senior Vice President of Policy and Strategic Partnerships for @NationalActionNetwork, works to promote and advocate for a modern equitable civil rights agenda through the lens of the spirit and tradition of Dr. King.

I have the pleasure of joining a large collective of women who are working to ensure that Judge #KetanjiBrownJackson is confirmed as our next Supreme Court Justice. I am one of many women at @nationalactionnetwork who work within the King tradition to promote a modern civil rights agenda. We must have a voice on the court that people understand the perspectives that women, and poor people, and people in government service face.
Building the Bench because our democracy is stronger when the judiciary is comprised of judges whose backgrounds speak to the full breadth of the American experience.

Ebonie Riley, Senior Vice President of Policy and Strategic Partnerships for @NationalActionNetwork, works to promote and advocate for a modern equitable civil rights agenda through the lens of the spirit and tradition of Dr. King.
From neighborhoods to Capitol Hill, Ebonie’s advocacy is driven by the lived experiences of NAN members, the community and herself which keep spotlight on issues impacting her community’s civil rights and equity.
“The Supreme Court has existed for 233 years, with 110 of the 115 sitting justices being white men,” said Ebonie. “When we look solely at the people who come from select perspectives, we get a skewed view.”
From ending police violence and racial profiling to advocating for healthcare access, Black women have shown up for our democracy, for our protests, and for our community. We have demonstrated that we are not only in support of policies and laws that will improve the lives of all Americans, but we are also willing to fight for them.
The nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson is a major step in renewing the public’s faith in the judiciary. She will bring the lived experiences of the many communities she has served throughout her life. #WeWillRise #ConfirmKBJ #SheWillRise”- repost @ebonieriley
