Just three days before Election Day, he addressed the National Action Network during the weekly Saturday Action Rally at our House of Justice in Harlem. Tonight, we’re sharing this moment from last month’s Triumph Awards at Jazz at Lincoln Center, where PONAN Rev. Al Sharpton introduced him before he delivered remarks.
As Rev said in a recent statement following Mayor-Elect Mamdani’s victory: “Not since the election of Barack Obama in 2008 have voters been this energized or hopeful about a candidate. Mayor-Elect Mamdani’s victory represents not only belief in a single candidate but the idea that New York City can once again be an affordable city, especially for Black and Brown communities.”
