Anti-Gun Violence Rally in NYC

Nov 05, 2011

MYFOXNY.COM – Local community leaders, family members and gun shot survival victims are fighting back against gun violence.
The “Ride, March, Rally” was held by the group in an effort to make the city street safer.

Reverend Al Sharpton’s National Action Network joined the rally that marched across the Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall. The march began in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn near the recent fatal shooting Zurana Horton.

Horton was the mother who was picking her children up from school when she was shot and killed shielding children from gang related gunfire.
The rally featured caskets that were carried over the bridge to symbolize the senseless deaths caused by inner city gunfire.
