MARCH ON WASHINGTON KICK-OFF RALLY FEATURING KEYNOTE SPEAKER REVEREND AL SHARPTON OF THE NATIONAL ACTION NETWORK HOSTED BY NATIONAL CAPITOL BAPTIST CONVENTION’S PRESIDENT, REVEREND CHARLES MCNEILL

National Action Network launches “We Shall Not Be Moved” Kick-Off Rally on Monday, December 5th, 2016, to raise awareness and support for its’ January 14th, 2017, March in Washington. This march is planned to commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr., and to give notice that a collective body of Americans are dedicated and fully committed to moving the legacy and mission Dr. King forward. The National Action Network is calling for President-Elect Trump and congress to protect voting and civil rights, access to quality healthcare as well as police reform. “The 2017 March holds significant importance. The tone of our effort is in direct response to the resent Presidential Election’s outcome.”, says Rev., Al Sharpton, the Keynote speaker and organizer of the March. “We want to bring all people, together and have a national response noting our intent.” Says Sharpton.

Sharpton is an American Civil Rights Activist, Baptist Minister, television/radio talk show host and President Barack Obama’s, White House adviser.

The kick-off rally will also feature many speakers to include; political leaders, community representatives, and diverse, faith-based leaders.

The Rally’s Host and President of the National Capitol Baptist Convention, Reverend Charles McNeill; says; “This is an important time in the lives of all people and it’s necessary for us to Network, Educate and Worship together so that we can collectively make a stronger community, despite current national tensions.”

Prior to the community rally, Rev. Sharpton will hold an 11am press conference at the National Press Club. Rev. Sharpton will also speak to local Baptist ministers at 1pm at the Missionary Baptist Ministers Conference of DC and Vicinity, held at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, N.E. Washington, DC.
