Democratic candidates attend Ministers’ Breakfast with Rev. Sharpton
North Charleston, S.C. — South Carolina Ministers’ Breakfast took place on February 26th 2020, at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, on the heels of 10th Democratic presidential debate. Six out of seven democratic candidates — Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, Tom Steyer, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders — attended, save for Mike Bloomberg.
The Breakfast was convened to refocus on the work the civil rights community does to advance Dr. King’s dream, with a specific focus on mobilizing Black Churches ahead of the 2020 elections. Additionally, NAN to Bestowed the Emily England “Strength to Love” Award to Congressman James Clyburn.
