Re: Mohamed Bah

Dear District Attorney Vance:

We write to respectfully request that your office look carefully into the shooting death of Mohamed Bah and bring charges, if sufficient evidence exists, against the officers responsible for his senseless death. Mohamed Bah, a 28-year old African immigrant, was shot multiple times and killed by New York City police officers on September 25, 2012, when his mother called for an ambulance, fearing that her son was depressed and alone in his home. We believe that the shooting was unjustified.

Mohamed Bah was a college student whose aim was to get a degree in finance. His neighbors described him as polite, hardworking and mild mannered. He worked at night and went to school by day.

We urge you to conduct a full and fair investigation into the actions of the individual officers who ended the life of this young man in his own home. We demand justice for Mohamed Bah, and we hope your office will do the same by seeking an indictment of the responsible officers.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
