NAN Sacramento Kick Off Meeting 2019

NAN Sacramento had it’s first meeting for 2019 on February 20th with their membership. Presenters included James Sweeny (BAPAC), Regina Wilson (CA Black Media), Jason Sias Esq. (Civil Rights Attorney), Stevante Clark, Yolanda Stevenson and boards members Margaret Fortune, Darryl Scarborough, and Karlette Porter.
Some initiative for 2019 include:
- Community Legal Nights (free consultations and referrals) – Jason Sias, Esq
- Consensus 2020 – Regina Wilson
- AB392 – New Legislation on Police use of Force – James Sweeny
- Community Plans for Pending DA Announcement (March, Safe Zones)
- Rally Commemorating the 1 Year Anniversary of Stephon Clark Shooting, March 18, 2019 – Stevante Clarke
