NAN Western Regional Conference

We are excited to invite you to attend our inaugural Annual Western Regional Conference that will take place on February 5-7, 2020, in Sacramento, CA!
As you know, the National Action Network is one of the leading civil rights organizations in the nation with chapters throughout the entire United States. Founded in 1991 by Reverend Al Sharpton, NAN works within the spirit and tradition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to promote a modern civil rights agenda.
The Western Regional Conference is a convening of chapter members and thought leaders throughout California, Arizona, and Nevada, to address issues impacting marginalized communities. Conference events include a Ribbon Cutting and Rally at the California State Capitol, Ministers Luncheon, Convening of Leaders from California’s Top Majority Black Schools, and a NAN Gala Banquet honoring Education Champions.
In addition, the conference includes plenary sessions focusing on voting rights, Census 2020, closing the African American achievement gap, and creating capital development in urban communities. The conference will climax with a Rock the Vote Concert presented by NAN’s California Youth Huddle featuring Kida the Great from World of Dance along with other young local talents.
Conference registration is FREE and open to the general public. Attendance to the Ministers Luncheon and NAN Gala Banquet requires a ticket.
