Shelby County, AL v. Holder Voting Rights Rally at the Supreme Court

The National Action Network and our partners in the movement will descend upon the U.S. Supreme Court Wednesday February 27, 2013 to hear Oral Arguments in the case of Shelby County, AL v. Holder.  The Shelby County case challenges the Voting Rights Act and calls on the Court to strike down Section 5, the heart of the Voting Rights Act.  Participants are strongly encouraged to be at the Supreme Court that day and also to attend Oral Arguments and the related events planned in support of the Voting Rights Act.

6:00 a.m. Volunteers arrive; first come. first serve

8:30 a.m. Brief Press Conference likely for Members of Congress

9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Program

11:00 a.m.-12:00  Litigators exit the court (RAS speak during this time)

2:00 p.m – Program concludes
