National Project Manager
Paul W. Persaud serves as the National Project Manager for the National Action Network and oversees website and social media work under Founder and President, Rev. Al Sharpton. He is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a bachelor’s degree in Sports/Entertainment & Events Management. In this role, he focuses on growing and managing the organizations social media platforms and has increased presence to hundreds of thousands of followers. Paul also maintains daily updates on NAN’s official website.
Paul has been with the organization for over three years, during which he led social media campaigns around the 2012 Voter Engagement Tour, 100-City Trayvon Martin rallies, Occupy the Corners initiative, and the “National Action to Realize the Dream Rally and March” which celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington. Paul was one of the lead panel coordinators for National Action Network’s annual convention over the past 3 years under the direction of Acting Executive Director, Janaye Ingram. He was also the co-producer for the annual Keepers of the Dream Awards under the direction of NAN’s former Vice President of Communications, Rachel Noerdlinger. In 2011, President Barack Obama delivered the keynote remarks at the annual Keepers of the Dream Awards. Some of his other talents for NAN have been assisting in producing award shows, creating marketing materials, and implementing in-depth PowerPoint presentations for the organizations initiatives.
Prior to working at NAN, Paul was involved in planning Super Bowls XLV, XLIV, XLIII, XLI, as he served as a coordinator for all game day guest services and security personal. Paul also served within the College Crew internship program for JetBlue Airlines, where he was able to work within their Corporate Social Responsibility team helping implement their annual Swing for Good Golf Classic which is the airline’s largest charitable fundraiser that began in 2009 as a vehicle to raise funds for JetBlue’s charitable partners.
